Product Design
Without doubt one of our favourite types of project is product design. Our founder, Max, turned down a scholarship to do a PhD at the London School of Economics to set up his first company, ReboundTAG, which made the first microchip luggage tag that works in all airports worldwide. ReboundTAG was showcased by Lufthansa as a way of preventing lost luggage worldwide and was featured on BBC World News among other media and won many entrepreneurship awards.
Customers for the microchip luggage tag included Facebook, Google, Sony, Oracle, Salesforce, Paypal, most of the major hotel chains and several airlines.
The Nature of Product Design
In designing a product, it has to not only appeal to potential consumers but also reflect the style and brand of the company itself. Ideally, we also like to set you up so that you will be able to enter awards with your new product. ReboundTAG won many accolades, including at the Business Travel Show at the London Olympia and the Frontier Awards in Cannes (“the Oscars of travel product”), arguably the two most prestigious awards in the travel industry.
A new product also has to conform to all safety specifications, preferably in such a manner that the same product can be used worldwide without the need for alterations for different regulatory regimes. We partner with a network of experts in various forms of product certification for when this is necessary. For ReboundTAG, Max contributed to the global microchip standards of IATA, which sets standards for airlines.

ReboundTAG won more accolades than any comparable product, including third place in the most innovative travel products in the world at the Disrupt Awards at the Business Travel Show in the London Olympia, third place at the Frontier Awards in Cannes (“the Oscars of travel products”) and shortlisted for Luxury Gift of the Year at Spring Fair, the largest retail event in Europe among many other accolades which are too numerous to list here. ReboundTAG was also invited onto the Amazon Launchpad Program, where Amazon promotes its most innovative products.
