Branding Analysis: The Microchip Luggage Tag

ReboundTAG was the first company set up by our founder, Max. ReboundTAG started out by selling microchip luggage tags (Max also patented the idea). They were approached by Lufthansa early on, who showcased their microchip luggage tags as a way of preventing lost luggage worldwide, including at the Annual General Meeting of IATA, which sets standards for airlines. 

Following successes in the technology space, ReboundTAG started providing branded microchip luggage tags to companies and organisations. Their customers included Facebook, Google, Oracle, Sony, Paypal, most of the major hotel chains and several airlines. This holds an important lesson for products – if a high quality product can be combined with branding opportunities for other businesses, then you have an ocean of new opportunities.
