The internet of things has gained a lot of attention in recent years, but most of the technologies used have been around for decades. We have experience not just at a ground level of technology design, but also at a regulatory level, which is increasingly important.
Our Experience
Our founder, Max, turned down a scholarship to do a PhD at the London School of Economics so that he could set up his first company, ReboundTAG, which produced the first microchip luggage tag that works in all airports worldwide. ReboundTAG was showcased by Lufthansa as a way of preventing lost luggage worldwide, including at the Annual General Meeting of IATA, which sets standards for airlines. Max also contributed to the global microchip standards at IATA. Customers for ReboundTAG’s microchip trackers include Google, Facebook, Sony, Oracle, most of the major hotel chains and several airlines. ReboundTAG won many entrepreneurship awards, including at the Business Travel Show at the London Olympia and the Frontier Awards in Cannes (“the Oscars of travel products”) and was featured on BBC World News among other media.
“Max’s participation in the IATA discussions on radio frequency identification microchips was invaluable, particularly as he delved into the intricate aspects of privacy protection and security for using RFID for luggage on a global scale. His expertise in this domain was encyclopaedic, and it was genuinely a delight to collaborate with him.”
Andrew Price, former Head of Airports at IATA (which sets standards for airlines globally).
